Over the Rainbow

Cowdogs, one more pre-holiday ride with clear, 50-55 degree, forecasted weather. This is an amazing ride, along the Deschutes River that is familiar to flyfishers. A Dirty Freehub route. Their site has a video and comprehensive ride description. 

There is a potential for goatheads along the river. Make sure your sealant is fresh - tubeless tires only! There is a 23% grade on the pavement for .5 miles!

Start is at the Erickson Aircraft Museum parking, about 1.25 hours from Bend in Madras. Park in the dirt lot on the north side of the building. There are no parking permits or fees. The museum is closed so no on-site restrooms.  Arrive early enough for a 10:30am start.

Please bring a bike GPS, loaded with this route. Turns happen quickly and you need to be responsible for your own navigation.
