Sherman's March
Come gravel ride with the Cowdogs. Temps could be warm for this adventurous ride. This is a beautiful gravel ride from dirtyfreehub.com. Dirty Freehub also provides a very detailed ride description. It is a 4+ hour ride.
This quote from Sally Pressler who rode it a couple weeks ago is telling, "Ride is as described! Spectacular views, plenty of wildflowers, varied terrain, very remote. No other traffic save 3 vehicles. Spotted turkey vultures, a bobcat, and a grouse. Some rocky descents and a challenging shale section. I was on 42mm tires with worn out tread and I did regret that choice. Will make sure I'm on knobbier 45 mm next time I do this ride. And there will absolutely be a next time- this route is amazing."
9am start from the end of the paved section of NF-11, ~ 10.5 miles north of Highway 20. 44.469339, -121.556808 The start is about an hour from Bend. Please arrive early enough for a 9am departure.
It's always good to have the route on your Garmin, Wahoo, or phone.
