Crooked River Canyon Out and Back Reverse

Ride Details: Crooked River Gorge out-and-back, but starting from Reservoir Road. The descent comes first, so bundle up to start, and make sure you have a way to carry extra clothing layers for when it warms up as we return to the cars. There is no bathroom at the start location, but I like to pull into the reservoir parking lot before mile 4 where there is an outhouse. There are outhouses every few miles after that.

Please carry a lunch and basic tire repair. We will try to group up occasionally, and we may find a good spot to eat lunch as it gets close to Noon. I also like to let folks enjoy the serenity of the canyon with some solo time, as needed. You may turn back early if you decide you need to, remembering that it is uphill most of the way back to the car. There is no cell service, so I will rely on seeing your car in the parking area to know that I need to cycle or drive back along the route if you need help.
