Tumalo Tunnel-37 with optional Archie Briggs
&
Johnson Road Repeats with Brian
A COW's favorite!
Again this week (and because Joe likes the route) we'll revisit the Tunnel Loop (37) + Optional Archie Briggs (20). Wednesday may be a bit cooler & have some wind and loop routes offer more protection on breezy days. Plus, Mark likes hills and Archie Briggs keeps whispering "Luke, Come to the Dark Side."
We'll roll out from Tumalo Coffee at 10AM. The pace will be a smooth & even A/B Zone 2ish (15-17ish) with a brief restroom stop half way at Cline Falls Scenic Viewpoint. The 37 mile loop will conclude at Tumalo Coffee. For those choosing to do the optional O.B. Riley / Archie Briggs loop we will drop gear & fill bottles as needed at Tumalo Coffee before rolling up O.B. Riley to Archie Briggs & back around to Tumalo.
Do you avoid those rides with high elevation? Do you feel you are going backwards when climbing even the smallest climbs? Does that hill seem like a mountain as you approach it? Join Brian at 9:00 am at Tumalo Coffee House to train on Johnson Road. The warm up will be to the corner of Johnson Rd and Tumalo Res. Road. We will discuss strategy, goals, form and gearing before we begin that first Rep up Johnson. Rally up top at Tylers, fly down and rally at the bottom. a Recovery back to the Coffee House in time to meet with the Tumalo Tunnel ride if you would like to join that ride.
All riders should have the route downloaded on a device.
