Ride Leader Huddle
The targeted audience for this get together will be two fold. First, we are inviting any members that have led rides (road, gravel or MTB) in the past, even if has been one ride. Secondly, we would like to invite any member that may be interested in leading a ride.
Our goals are to recruit more ride leaders (especially in the C and D level) and to solidify our expectations for our group led rides.
Huddle Objectives
You will be able to:
- identify the key components of leading a ride (Pre-ride, The Ride, Post Ride)
- identify safety protocols
- locate routes on our Ride with GPS library
- identify the method of submitting your own ride
- identify the method of signing up for a COW's weekend ride
As this is a hands on clinic, plan on bringing:
- Your phone with the Ride with GPS App (from the App store). This is a free app and you should register a free account on this app prior to attending this clinic.
- Your laptop computer and be able to access your Garmin, Wahoo or Karoo2 accounts as well as our COW's Wild Apricot site
- Your Bike Navigation computer.
We will have breakfast snacks and beverages for all!
There is a small parking lot near the Clubhouse front door, as well as one on the North side of the gym. Parking is also allowed on Sotra Loop road.
