POST
O & B
The Geologic Center of Oregon!
A first time ride for the COW's.
About this ride: Traffic is light on HY 380 with many ranches and several interesting geographic features. We'll stop half way at the Post store for a break and then return to Prineville (please show your support for the community store by buying a soda, candy bar or salty chips to munch on).
Note: Monitor your energy reserves! The prevailing wind is typically from the West meaning one can sail out and feel like a hero! Only to turn around and realize there is a headwind on the return trip (not a hero after all). So monitor your energy output and reserves. Like Crooked River Canyon, your on your own until we hit Prineville on the return trip. Ride: To Post from Prineville & back (50 miles). Start Location: Pioneer Park, Prineville. Parking on 2nd St (off of Elm & 2nd) with restrooms available. Time: 10:00 am Rollout Route: We'll proceed east on NE 3rd (HY 26) & take a right on HY 380 (Paulina HY). Pace: B/A/C: Zone II: Riders will group up or ride solo based on preference. Post Ride: Starbucks Coffee, Prineville. Located at the corner of 3rd St & SE Combs Flat Rd (HY 380)
