All Ride leaders and potential ride leaders please join us for a hands on ride leaders training session starting at On Tap.  Quite a few of you could not make it this past weekend, so we have scheduled another ride!  Great feedback from our first session this past weekend. The ride itself took around an hours time, with total time of 1-1/2 hours with stops.  All riders will be paired up and get the opportunity to lead a ride.  We will have several stops in which we can rotate leaders.  Leaders will practice pre ride talks and ride leading through multiple ride scenarios.  Ride leaders will communicate with the group verbally and through hand signals. 

Multiple scenarios  include:

• heavy traffic
• crossing highways
• regrouping
• hills/breakaways
• mechanical/medical
• pace line (if enough time)
• rotary negotiation

Plan on staying after and we can debrief after the ride.  We will send Ride leader guidelines prior to the ride.  The COW's website also has ride leader guidelines on the website.
