Water & Lava Thursday

Weather looks great for the Bend area this Thursday, with highs into the mid 60s.  This is a fun ride along the Deschutes River from dirtyfreehub.com.   Dirty Freehub also provides a very detailed ride description.

Michel will lead a tamer version without the 9% climb up Lava Butte.  Sam will lead a rowdier, faster ride up Lava Butte and utilize the Black Rock single-track instead of the nice paved road. Sam's Route. The Aspens along the river might still be showing color, so consider bringing your camera.  The groups will probably meet up here and there along the route.

Mileage: 27 miles for Michel's route, 32 for Sam's route. 

Singletrack: 6 miles for Michel's route, 10 for Sam's route. 

11 am start from the Cascade Lakes Welcome Center on Cascade Lakes Highway.  Please arrive early enough for an 11:00 departure.

It's always good to have the route on your Garmin, Wahoo, or phone.  Navigation on W&L is tricky. 

Covid Vaccination required.

E-bikes are not allowed on these trails.
