The ex-Scenic byway Metolius River Loops are a hidden gem of this area!  The byway was taken off of the list because Federal management also had the Metolius river designated as a wild and scenic river.  As a result actively promoting this scenic byway was counter productive to the Wild and Scenic Federal tag.  The Historic Camp Sherman General Store will act as the starting and ending destinations.  A visit into the store is a must, and group shots in the front of those pumps are highly sought after pics!  Enjoy the quiet and peaceful roads, and maybe a quick stop at the Wizard Falls fish hatchery to check out the BLUE waters of the Metolius.  This ride is 100% paved.
