McKay Creek Out and Back

Thanks to Mark Steinberg for leading the C ride!

Join us this weekend for a challenging ride up Mckay Creek.  It's a spectacularly beautiful ride that holds a modest grade most of the way, then gets a bit steeper as you get towards the end. The route can stretch to 48 miles if you go all the way to the end of pavement, but the most common "full length" turn-around point is somewhere around mile 21.  Pack some snacks and plenty of water!

Here is the twist for all groups.  How far can you get in one hour and fifty minutes!  That's right, at 1hr. 50 mins. of ride time turn it around and head back to the park.  Of course if you want the challenge of climbing the whole enchilada then take your well deserved QOM, KOM Crowns!  Climb alone, pace-line if you like but anyway you can just climb.  

Once back to the park we will take over a few picnic tables.  So pack your favorite beverage and some recovery food and join us for an after ride social.  Our BYOBF have been fun this year!!

If you are not planning on riding please remember to CANCEL your registration.

An aqi of 100 in Prineville will cancel this ride.  Of course you may ride leaderless at your own discretion.
