Southside Tour from Crux

This is the B-pace version of the Saturday ride trifecta. Check the calendar for D- and C-paced rides starting and finishing from the same spot.

Meet on the street next to Crux, ready to ride at 9:00 AM.

This week we'll start and finish at a new location: "Crux Fermentation Project" located just west of Hwy 97 in central Bend. They have a big area for gathering, plus plenty of food and beverage options, but they're a bit tricky to find. The key is to access via St. Aune Street off of SE Scott St. If you know where the original Sparrow Bakery is, you'll find St. Aune right across the street. Follow St. Aune under the parkway overpass, then turn right onto Division St. and park adjacent to Crux's big yard.

This week's route heads east from Crux and quickly gets away from the hustle and bustle of Bend. Once out east, we'll make a clock-wise loop to find our way over Hwy 97 on Baker Rd, then cruise the quiet Deschutes River Woods area. From there, it a steady, descent along Brookswood back to Old Mill area (we'll be really careful going through all the roundabouts), a quick jump back across Hwy 97, and a dash back to Crux. We'll stick to an average B-pace (11-13 mph) for this ride.
