COWS Thursday Night TT (10 Mile Time Trial)

Where: Start and Finish on Skyliners, just West of Phil’s Trails Entrance

When: Every other Thursday Night, starting May 9

Time 6:15 Start (please Check in 15 mins. early so that Starter may seed all riders)

Format and guidelines:

  • Riders will line up in single line at start in order of seed time.
  • Each Rider will be given a Seed number to remember, (That seed number will be shouted out to Starter/Timer when you cross the finish.) This allows Starter/Timer/Scorer to give an accurate adjusted time for you)
  • Starter will count down 30 sec, 20 sec, and 10 sec to GO time! Riders will be let go at intervals of 1 min, or 30 secs. (if there are many riders).
  • There will be a set of spray painted lines approximately .02 miles apart, 3 lines, 2 lines and 1 line, followed by a turnaround arrow and a cone. At this point SAFELY turnaround and head back to finish!
  • Official TT rules do not allow DRAFTING (sitting on the back of riders wheel and pacing off of them). So when you pass a Rider, SAFELY do so with plenty of space.
  • Results will be kept throughout the season and Champions will be crowned at end of season. (Currently working out the Qualifications for Crowned Champions).

This is a great way to monitor your fitness level throughout the season. Whether you take this as a tempo, or threshold ride, you can count on this being a solid workout in your fitness pursuits.

You can choose where you park. Phil’s is one option. The other option is Good Life, which is between 2.5-3.0 miles away (nice warmup and cool down). WE DO PLAN ON MEETING AT GOOD LIFE AFTERWARDS. So think of this as an extension of David Garcia’s Beers, Bikes and Bullshit. Results will be shared at Good Life.

May and June Dates: 5/9, 5/23, 6/6, 6/20
