Crooked River Canyon

Plan to meet at the Crooked River Park ready for a 1:00 PM departure.

This is an out and back ride well suited to varying distances and paces.  Think of it as a chance to get out with your club knowing you can choose your own pace and distance.

We'll head south down the Crooked River Canyon, breaking into similar riding pace groups and turning around at any location that makes you happy.  All ride pace groups are welcome and you are free to choose your own distance.  This week we plan to ride a little further and incorporate some climbing making the full distance ride turn around location where the asphalt turns into a delicious gravel road - but that's for another time.  If your not feeling it, roll to the dam, the marina or shorter and make it to your own liking.  Again, out-and-back, feel free to turn around sooner or go a bit farther if the spirits hit you.  If you can, plan on some post ride socializing. 

Note:  Last week we encountered heavy cinder / gravel on the roads in and near town.  There was also the gravel and fallen rocks (fist size and up) strewn across the roadway from the steep canyon walls.  Riders should exercise caution.
