Progressive Tuesday #10

Shevlin-Redmond Loop

Ride Classification Leader  GPS My Ride
     C/46/Frequent    Terry B/David Garcia         Link

NOTE: Terry took a fall on his mountain bike and is on the injured list for a bit. David Garcia will cover lead for this one, so it's still on.

This is the tenth in a series of increasingly longer rides with the intent of increasing rider endurance. Rides are every Tuesday and ride length will generally increase by about 5 miles a week.

The ride starts at Shevlin Park and heads north toward Redmond on mostly rural roads. This route includes many of the roads included in the Tour Des Chutes so this is a great opportunity to get familiar with the tour route. First we'll head north on the west side of the Deschutes River, returning on the east side and back to Shevlin Park There's also an opportunity to lunch at Cline Falls State Park.

The objective of the Progressive Tuesdays rides is to prepare riders for the longer rides like those associated with the Tour the De Chutes or the Firecracker 100. These rides are a great way to increase endurance, learn about new ride routes, and enjoy the scenic beauty of rural of Oregon.
