McKenzie Pass Out-n-Back

This will be one of the the last chances this year to ride the infamous McKenzie Pass Scenic Bike Route without cars (ODOT says open to cars June 18). We'll gather at Sisters Village Green Park and head to the top. Since it's an out-and-back, everyone can ride at their preferred pace. I will handle sweep, guaranteeing a C-Pace for anyone interested. Those with the zoomies can leave us behind.

As for distance, it's about 30 miles to the top and back. If you want more miles, the ride can be extended as far as you'd like before turning back; to the west gate and back makes it a 50-mile trek (with nearly 5,000 feet of climbing). In all likelihood, there will be some turning around at the top, some going another 5 miles to Juniper Trailhead, and some going the whole nine yards. Plenty of choices; choose yours on the fly.
