Progressive Tuesday Reboot
North from Tumalo
Today’s ride is a reboot of the Progressive Tuesday rides. As some of you are aware, I injured my right wrist and haven’t been able to ride for several weeks. So this week I’m cutting back on the distance (29 miles) and going a little easier. This week’s ride starts at Tumalo Coffee. We’ll ride north on Cline Falls Highway, turn east on Highway 126 for a short distance, and then south back to Tumalo through farming lands on the east side of the Deschutes River. Cline Falls State Park is half way and a nice spot for a quick break. The objective of the Progressive Tuesdays rides is to prepare riders for the longer rides like those associated with the Tour the De Chutes or the Firecracker 100. Rides will take place in the Tumalo area, China Hat road, and if interest supports, scenic bike rides like the Crooked River canyon or Sisters to Smith Rocks rides. These rides are a great way to increase endurance, learn about new ride routes, and enjoy the scenic beauty of rural of Oregon.
