Sunriver Area

The 12th in a series of increasingly longer rides with the intent of increasing rider endurance. Rides are every Tuesday and ride length will generally increase by about 5 to 10 miles a week.

This week’s ride is an awesome 48 mile loop that starts in Sunriver, rides southwest towards Wickiup Reservoir, then north past Crane Prairie and east back to Sunriver. We’ll stop at Crane Prairie resort for water and a bite at the 24 mile mark. The terrain is relatively flat, with some climbing, great scenery and abundant wildlife. A plus, the roads are in great condition.

The objective of the Progressive Tuesdays rides is to prepare riders for the longer rides like those associated with the Tour the De Chutes or the Firecracker 100. These rides are a great way to increase endurance, build your base, learn about new ride routes, and enjoy the scenic beauty of rural of Oregon.
