Dry Canyon Loop

Enjoy the new park in Redmond, starting in Tumalo

Ride Classification Leader  GPS My Ride
C/40/Frequent Shannon Bergstedt  Link

Welcome Shannon,  the world-famous ride director from Bend Bellas! She is leading a 40 mile ride, at a 12-13 mph pace, with frequent regroups.

This is a fun loop that follows many of the Tour de Chutes roads with a 4 mile paved path through Dry Canyon. The Dry Canyon is Redmond’s premier outdoor recreational feature. Reclaiming a jumble of agricultural enterprises (including potato fields, hence the “Spud Bowl” moniker of the soccer field that you’ll pass by) and a rehabilitated old city dump (where Redmond residents once tossed their garbage and old cars over the eastern canyon wall), Redmond has created a wonderful resource for those that want a quiet, pollution free stroll/hike/bike.

Park on 4th St off Cook Ave, near the Tumalo Coffee Shop.

Click the GPS My Ride link above to print a copy of the route. Hope to see you there.
